TUTC Kohima Camp, Nagaland for the Hornbill Festival – 30th November to 11th December 2013 | 12 Nov, 2013 | Author: RARE - destinations and experiences

We promised earlier this year that The Ultimate Traveling Camp will enthrall you with its calender of destinations, events and festivals in India.

Staying true to its exciting concept, TUTC, the mobile camps, presents an opportunity to explore the cultural treasures of the Land of the Nagas, know as the last Head hunters, in the exotic state of Nagaland, in the north-eastern part of India.

Kohima Camp, Nagaland, coincides with the exotic Hornbill festival, one of the most exciting Tribal festivals in the country. The 10 day long annual melange of cultural explosion showcases colorful performances, crafts, sports, food fairs, games and religious ceremonies of 16 prominent tribes of the region.

Similar to the camps at Thiksey, the super luxurious sand camps have been designed to blend into the general topography and allow you a glamcamping experience while retaining the excitement and a chic- rustic sentiment that goes with the festival. Needless to mention the camps have all creature comforts and more, its the smaller detailing that raises the bars for your next luxury camping - with Katie, the guest relation hostess interacting with the guests, Prem at the helm of affairs and with a sharp eye on the kitchen and Mr. Kevichulie Meyase the resident expert on Nagaland and the Hornbill Festival you can be assured of a memorable experience.
