Located in Mandawa - which is globally renowned as the “World’s largest Open Air Gallery” - The Legacy in Shekhawati is filled with hundreds of ancient havelis which are painted over with priceless frescos that draw in discerning guests from across the globe. The idea of the restoration of the Harlalka's Haveli was to keep much of the frescoes intact and as the present management by The Machan team ensures that it is run in the true spirit of a heritage hotel. The rooms and suites built around the courtyard are a restive shade of green, while the frescoes many of them restored close to its former brilliance blend gently with the freshly painted walls. The Rooms and Suites keep thier structural integrity in terms of the columns, windows and door frames while rebuilding to accomodate large ensuite bathrooms. The courtyards are kept intact so that rooms open towards the open to sky, airy central spaces. 

The Legacy in Mandawa is an immaculately restored haveli that is over 200 years old and with its 11 rooms and suites is reflective of the region of Shekhawati. 

The Maharaja rooms are some of the best you will find in the region. The beauty is in its restoration, from the outside showing off beautiful and intricate windows, through the elaborate threshhold and door of each room into shaded, tastefully decorated rooms with signature colonial-style beds and furnishings. The Maharaja Rooms are spacious and air-conditioned, with an elaborate Baithak (sitting area) which is a step up from the antique bed 

The Yuvraj is a lovely room with splendid views of the pool and garden. The walls are decorated with intricate frescoes that bring the 200 year old narrative alive. The Yuvaraj is well appointed with all modern comforts the living area is embellished with a colonial bed and a cosy sitting space. The Yuvraj's chambers are perfect for a a couple celerating a life event with its subtle interiors and warm lighting. 

Dining

The Legacy is a surprise waiting for you both in the quality of the cuisine as well the venues they can set up for your meals. Initimate dining in rooms where the frescoes have been restored are set up for private lunches or dinner upon request with service staff in attendance. 

Baradari is the signature outdoor restaurant by the poolside and surrounded by flowering bougainvillas, open spaces and the backdrop of the Haveli.  This is heritage dining area that comes alive with mood lighting in the evening, music and performance serving special local, Indian and Continental cuisine.
