Urvinkaan

Hidden within the Gowda family's ancestral coffee estate in Mudigere, Urvinkaan is a 10-key family-run estate hotel that offers a rare glimpse into plantation life as it has been lived for generations. Opened in 2012, the property was designed and built by Sunil Gowda, with interiors curated by his wife, Shwetha, using restored antiques collected from ancestral homes across South India. The estate remains firmly in family hands, with each member playing an active role in running the hotel while personally hosting guests, making the experience as intimate as it is authentic.

The accommodation reflects the estate's character. Drawing from the colonial-era estate vernacular of the Malnad region, each space combines high ceilings, laterite brick, antique furniture restored in-house, and natural materials that echo the surroundings. Every room opens towards either the plantation or the gardens, ensuring that guests wake up to a view of the estate landscape. The shared spaces continue the sense of a private home, with a living room, a common verandah overlooking the pool, and a community dining area where guests can gather over meals.

Tariffs start at ₹21,000, including breakfast.
