Sustainability Story of Camp TigerLily

|Sustainability Stories

Camp TigerLily sits near Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary, part of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve, in the lush Terai landscape where grasslands, forests, wetlands, and tribal culture meet. Its Pinwheel story is held by biodiversity, heritage, low-impact wilderness, and the careful interpretation of a lesser-known wildlife region.

The lodge provides access to jeep safaris, birdwatching walks, and the wildlife of Dudhwa, a landscape that shelters tigers, swamp deer, elephants, rich birdlife, and riverine habitats. The experience is guided and nature-led, encouraging travellers to look beyond the headline species and understand the wider ecology of the Terai.

Its heritage context is equally important. The region is closely associated with Tharu cultural traditions, food, folklore, forest knowledge, and craft. Camp TigerLily’s setting allows travellers to encounter Dudhwa not only as tiger country, but as a living human and ecological landscape.

Built with native sal wood and offering fresh seasonal fare from locally sourced ingredients, the lodge carries a low-impact wilderness character. Its strength lies in introducing travellers to Dudhwa gently, before the noise of mass tourism learns how to pronounce it.
